I think the technician did a good job overall. But, we purchased a new door and opener from you a year ago. It is partly our fault that we didn't contact you sooner for service, but our door has been creaking for a few months. When your technician came out on Saturday, he first thought it was one part causing the problem. He had to go get a part but when he came back, it turned out it wasn't that part causing the problem. He now thinks it is the board so he has to come back on Tuesday to install it. Final cost is over $300. I know it is the manufacturer that sets the warranty time limits, but it sounds like we received a defective board and after paying over $2000 last year, we have to pay another $300:(

I asked the kid that worked on my door about $300.00 for 1 hinge to be installed. He said that what they cost. So I told him to do the work. When I got the bill on my computer, I was billed $150.00 for lube and adjusting the door. He sprayed a couple of rollers and adjusted nothing. The rollers didn't need lubing because I do that myself. I think my bill was padded and I feel like it should be refunded. I didn't ask for $150.00 lube job, I ask him to change the hinge. John 602-840-1528.

Was told the installer would call me back re: my truck's remote. Never heard from him! Install was fine but post-sale service appears non-existent.

The request for servicing my two garage doors was extremely fast A+++. I called at 9:20 AM and Albert was here around 11:25 AM. Both garage doors had been partially blown off their tracks by the extreme winds a few days before. The newest garage door was installed in late March 2018. I had personally popped that door back in its tracks a couple of days earlier... but it needed minor adjustments (and STILL does!). That door should be under warranty. My other door is around 9 years old and this the 2nd time it has been blown off its tracks (I repaired it the 1st time). Albert was here less than 35 minutes. He did not replace any parts, yet he billed me for $195.00. My guts were wrenching... and I just paid the bill w/o saying a negative word. I needed to "digest" this for couple of days. I don't Know what a basic service fee costs for coming out, because the invoice only stated $195.00 for "putting doors back on tracks". I don't believe I can honestly recommend "Precision Doors" in the future! Especially for service!!

Anthony was very nice and helpful, but as far as the pricing for items, I was shocked when he told me the price for a new gate opener. The price he quoted was for a Liftmaster dual gate system with solar. It was over double the cost I could find on the internet for exactly the same unit. And I cannot imagine labor being that much, very disappointed in the pricing your company can get away with.

I called yesterday because my garage door would not go down. Seemed as though the sensors were malfunctioning. Matt came out said all needs to be replaced with new as he cant replace just sensors. Sold me a nice new unit with all bells and whistles over $1000.00. No other options offered. I learned today the workers who had been refinishing my front door had unplugged one of the sensors to work in the garage. so really didn't need a new opener sensor, remotes etc. Your technician surely noticed the disconnected sensor when he replaced everything. Really feel ripped off by your company although the new opener is nice just not needed. I also informed the tech that I had workers in the garage all day.

I called Precision because of the professional look of the website. My background is facilities maintenance management and I would rate your service as acceptable. However, I would consider the service charges as outrageous and I would neither recommend or use again.

I was disappointed that I had scheduled my door service a days in advance for a am repaire. After be notified he would be here at or befor noon. I never received a call after 12pm I called and the office scheduler said can we move it to afternoon he would be there by 2 pm.. Well after 2 pm came still no call from tech or office. So I called back again they said he should call you by 4pm. Well 454 came and had to call again this time I got the manager and he said he would be there by 6pm he was cleaning up and he is still coming he will call you in 10 minutes. Well I got a call at 620 pm from the tech and he finally arrived at 725 pm. He fixed the door but I had to beg the company all through the day to come when I was scheduled two days prior.

I am giving you 2 stars because if I was an unknowledgeable person on garage door repair I would have definitely been hustled today. I called to have my garage door springs replaced, I knew this was the problem from the very beginning. Had a previous estimate of $180 less than your technicians original quote of over 400. In addition, the technician was a little too aggressive on his approach with identifying other problems with my garage door. As I clearly expressed to the technician I am on a budget and did not want to replace any other parts that we're not necessary... he wanted to sell me on replacing my entire garage door.. He kept pushing, pushing and pushing. It got to the point that I told him you're better off leaving my home and not taking this job because we just don't see eye-to-eye on expectations. I understand people have to do their job and they have their list of do's and don'ts, his responsibility is to maximize the sale when entering a home. That's okay, I'm in the business and completely understand, but the proper training and approach to customers is very important, I felt pressured and very uncomfortable. I will not use your service again. I appreciate the explanation about safety in regards to my garage door and the completion of the job. This person was clearly setting me up that after the job was done he would hit me up again to replace more parts and essentially adding to my bill. He knew better then to not come at me with anything that was unnecessary. Once again if I was any other person, this job would have been well over 650 to $700. Unacceptable, my recommendation is to better train your employees on how to deal with the community. Making people feel that they have options, safe and willing to listen to the recommendations is key to any successful business. This person clearly does not have that skill set.

I purchased my beautiful, insulated garage door from Precision 2.9 months ago. The service was so great that when my electric gate broke I called Prevision. The man that fixed it was friendly, professional and knew his business. Today I called because a two foot section on the top of my fancy garage door is hanging down. The man that came out today was horrid. He told me that even though it was under warranty is was going to cost me $20 a foot to replace the defective trim. Then he told me I had a low end door-certainly not what the salesman told me when I purchased it. Then he told me that replacing the trim will NOT be covered by a 3 year warranty. The final straw was when the garbage truck was enroute to pick up my garbage. The Prevision guy, although I asked him to move his truck, would NOT. He went to his truck and returned to my garage. I reminded him I asked him to drive his truck forward a few feet. He ignored me. Inwalked out to the garbage truck and apologized for the rudeness of the Precision employee. The trash collector then exited his truck and walked the 100 feet to my garbage can and wheeled it back down the road to his garbage truck. He got in the truck, emptied the can, then walked the can back past the Precision truck. During all this time the Precision guy stayed in my garage. Not an apology. Nothing. He is the most rude, caustic, arrogant repairman I have dealt with. The trim piece had to be ordered. I have liked Precision Garage Doors in the past but the jury is out on if I will call them again after this experience.

I recently had two torsion springs replaced on my garage door. Service and installation were done in a very professional and timely manner. Price of each spring cost $249.00. This price seems outrageous.

Review:

The service was very fast . They arrived at my home probably within an hour and half of placing my call .My technician told me I needed new springs . First he quoted me over 800 dollars then when I said I couldn’t afford that he quoted me 655 dollars but that was only a 5 year warranty instead of lifetime . So the warranty was what made it over 800 dollars ?? The springs were 195 each plus the center bearing was 100 dollars . But then charged me 195 dollars for labor and was not even there an hour and had a guy helping him . I’m a single mom and called hoping to get a fair price and I don’t believe that was fair .

No issues with the service but this company significantly overpricea it’s torsion springs and equipment. Competitors are more reasonable and you can fine as good or better quality springs for less than a third if what they charge. Would not recommend anyone pay their ridiculous prices. Look elsewhere!

Review:

Very nice and friendly techs. The parts are expensive and they upsell. I needed a new drum and retensioned springs and ended up with two new drums, new pole, and new cables. Then when I called back after two months when the garage door would not close halfway but proceeded to close all the way, new springs. Funny that assessment was made from 8 feet away standing on the ground, no check of the current tension on the springs, no check if the stops had slipped, just you need new springs for almost $1000. Unfortunately I am an engineer and a do-it-yourself guy so I know this was an obvious upsell. The springs are 10 years old, the other door is fine, the door didn't do this before the drum issue. No evaluation, no tests, just new springs. I would advise to at least be careful, and probably avoid.

A Response from: Charan

Mr. Ellis I see your estimate for springs and the estimate is not $1000 dollars. I will be talking to the technician about you saying he did an evaluation with out even looking at the springs and every aspect of your garage door first. I do apologize for that and it will be corrected. Thank you for your feedback

Review:

The sales tactics by the repair man were borderline predatory. It is clear that this company will take advantage of a person in a bad situation, and is looking for people that don't know what a reasonable cost for garage door spring repair should be. The initial proposed price for replacing 2 torsion springs was outrageous; several hundred dollars more than expected and nearly 3x the amount I've paid for this service (on the same door) in the past. The final price after negotiation was still $60-100 more than I felt was fair, but I accepted it to move on and get the garage door fixed. After reading online reviews of Precision (which I should have done first), I see I'm not the first person to have this complaint. As it turns out, I understand the repair men receive a portion of each sale, which explains the outrageously inflated initial price. This aside, I appreciated that the repair man was on time and that the quality of the work was good. I would not consider repeat business with Precision though.

Review:

New garage door and garage opener. Same day response to our request and to provide a quote however after that, they were unable to provide details whether or not their distributor had a replacement door on stock and when the door would be installed. Despite several update requests from our side, we did not receive any information other than a generic product information document. We felt as if they were not concerned about the security risk that we had during the time we did not have a garage door. In addition, the gentlemen who installed the door left a large ding in our garage wall and didn't mention anything. He was also not able to provide much guidance on the new garage opener "I only install them"...

Kimberley, We as Precision Door Service apologize for the lack of communication. We would be more than happy to have one of our techs come out and explain all the great features of your new garage door opener. If there is anything we can do to make sure you have a positive experience please let us know.
